A man who allegedly committed a series of burglaries in the mining town of Linden was yesterday remanded to prison when he made an appearance before Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.Leroy Nedd, of 640 Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden, pleaded not guilty to a series of charges. The prosecutor further informed the court that investigations are still ongoing and according to the police over $5,000,000 in items were recovered.When asked by the magistrate if he had had any previous run-ins with the law, Nedd told the court that he was given a six months sentence on a simple larceny charge in 2011. He will make his next appearance on February 17 at the Linden Magistrate’s Court.
